In the first quarter of 2025, the Colombian market witnessed notable activity in the cryptocurrency sector, particularly on the iOS platform. Sensor Tower data provides insights into the performance of the top five cryptocurrency apps, each exhibiting distinct trends in downloads and active users.
Binance: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto started strong with weekly downloads peaking at around 7.8K in mid-January. However, a gradual decline followed, bringing downloads to approximately 3.8K by the end of March. Active users initially surged from 104K to nearly 140K in January, but then experienced a downturn, ending the quarter at about 95K.
The World App - Worldcoin Wallet saw its downloads start at 3.2K, climbing to 5.3K in early January before steadily decreasing to under 1K by the end of March. Active user numbers mirrored this trend, starting from 88K and dropping to 69K over the quarter.
Phantom - Crypto Wallet experienced a spike in downloads reaching 1.9K in late January, but this was followed by a decline to just under 100 by the end of March. Active users also saw a peak in January with 3.5K, but decreased to 1.3K by the quarter's close.
OKX: Buy Bitcoin BTC & Crypto maintained a relatively stable download rate, ranging from 400 to 680 weekly. Active users showed slight fluctuations but remained around the 2.2K to 2.5K range throughout the quarter.
Lastly, Pi Network downloads were modest, peaking at 1.1K in February and dropping to 162 by March's end. Active users, however, grew steadily from 2.4K to over 4.3K, showing resilience in user engagement.
